Course Description
Cupping is a very effective external physical healing method. It belongs to the healing methods of Chinese medicine. It is mainly used for muscle pain, blood circulation diseases, migraines, and detoxification of the body, but it can also be used in many other cases. During cupping, under the influence of the vacuum, the capillaries in the treated area expand, which allows the inflow of fresh blood and more oxygen, which evenly penetrates the connective tissues. It pumps spent blood, lymph and metabolic end products into the bloodstream, which then flow to the kidneys. It cleans the tissues from waste material. With the suction effect of the vacuum, it causes an abundance of blood in the given area, the blood supply, blood circulation, and metabolism of the skin, muscles, and internal organs belonging to the area improves, and the locally occurring blood abundance activates one or more meridians of the body and thus increases the flow of bioenergy. Cupping can be used according to the meridian system, acupuncture points, trigger points, head-zone theory.
Nowadays, cupping is done with bell-shaped glasses, plastic or rubber cups. A vacuum is created inside the device with the so-called suction bell, or with hot air, as a result of which the cup adheres strongly to the skin surface and slightly lifts the tissue layers. It is mostly used on the back, stimulating the meridian lines and acupressure points, but depending on the specific problem, it can also be used on different parts of the body.
During the completion of the course, the participant will be able to treat various health problems using the learned cupping techniques, as well as combine the knowledge gained in practice, even by mixing it with other treatments in order to achieve a more effective result, for example with body contouring-cellulite massage.
